In 2012, I decided I wanted to learn how to paint on canvas. I began by taking classes in acrylic painting. I also attended just about every free art demo offered at The Arts Colony, Corona. This started a journey I never expected - I saw different media and started experimenting with collage, Gelli printing and watercolor. Here it is 2020 and it's still so much fun I just can't stop!

This is my first acrylic painting on canvas. The inspiration came from a photo taken at my daughter's wedding. We had a butterfly release after the wedding, and my cousin sent me some photos she took that day.

This is my second acrylic painting. Assigned in class to paint a still life, I chose to paint a grouping of my art gourds. The gourd bowl in the center holds gourd seeds.
